Inspiring Communities Together started in 2011 with a small group of community members determined to make a lasting impact in Charlestown and Lower Kersal. Today, we’re a Charitable Incorporated Organisation that works as a community anchor, supporting individuals to make positive changes in their lives. With space at the Innovation Forum and support from Salford City Council, we’ve built a foundation that allows us to deliver a wide range of programmes and initiatives across Salford and beyond—helping local people grow and making our neighbourhoods stronger for all.
About us
Our vision
Creating a place where everyone can achieve their full potential and participate in making a positive difference to neighbourhoods.
Our mission
Together, we achieve positive change by supporting individuals to use their knowledge, build their own solutions, and strengthen the community. We support people in making a difference, connecting with others, and creating neighbourhoods that everyone can be proud of.
Our values
Community-Centered Accountability
We ensure that our work represents local priorities.
Innovation and Value
We embrace innovation and deliver value in everything we do, ensuring our approach is effective and resourceful.
Respect for Our People
We value every staff member, volunteer and participant, treating everyone with the respect and appreciation they deserve.
Our objectives
Every year, we connect with communities by carrying out a neighbourhood consultation to truly understand how people feel about where they live. By listening to local voices and gathering insights, we shape our initiatives to meet the priorities of the community’s we work in
Our work focuses on three key objectives: creating better places to live, improving people’s lives, and strengthening local voices. Everything we do is about people and place, ensuring a connected community where everyone can feel proud to live.
Objective 1
Invest in people, providing support and resources for those we work with.
Objective 2
Create opportunities for individuals to re-engage with learning by providing informal learning activities, skill development, and in-work learning programs.
Objective 3
Deliver excellent quality provision measured through a good content management system enabling tracking of personal journeys.
